DIRECT SOURCING

Sourcing is done directly by Birlik from the farmers. There are no stakeholders between Birlik and farmers which enable us trace the products fully from farm to customer’s warehouse. 

LABELING AT FARM LEVEL

Birlik provides new sacks to the farmers before the procurement and every sack is labeled by the farmer for traceability. Our products are purchased from each farmer and dispatched to the warehouses of Birlik by our agricultural engineers.

CONTINUOUS EDUCATION 

Every year and in each region a training program on organic agriculture emphasizing organic principles and GAP is granted to the contracted farmers by Birlik. 

Sampling is done separately from each sack; physical and chemical analyses are carried out for each farmer and recorded to our system.

Backwards integration is a key element in food safety. At Birlik, we have a barcoded traceability system where we can trace the goods back to the field.
